Common Features

These multidirectional paint sprayers have some very cool feature to make your painting smoother and faster. The sprayer is great for shutters, lattice, sheds, fences, garages, decks and small houses.

Wagner Power Painter Plus 0525027

OPTIMUS Dual Tip Technology

The sprayer guns come with the Optimus Dual Tip for better control, less overspray, and superior coverage. The high-speed piston pump in conjunction with the dual tip gives you more uniform atomization and coverage creating a smooth and consistent finish.

Wagner 0525032 Power Painter Max with EZ TiltEZ Tilt Technology

EX Tilt Technology allows Wagner sprayers to paint at any angle without spitting or stopping. It allows you to point the gun down on the deck, as well as up at the roof even if you have the paint container less than half full. It will always maintain a continuous flow of paint. Paint up, down or sideways at ease with these sprayers and give the paint job a smooth and professional look.

The flexible suction tube inside the cup allows the gun to draw paint even when it is tilted. The tube tilts towards the lower part of the container as the gun moves up, down or side-to-side, following the material wherever it flows.

Refilling the Cup

Refilling the cup has been made easier too. The specially designed valve at the end of the suction tube retains the paint when the cup is removed. As the tube still has paint or stain in it, when you refill the cup start using it again, you don’t have to re-prime.

What’s Different

Spray Speed and Container Size

The easy twist paint cup of the Plus model can hold 32 fl. ounces (1 quart) of paint and the other two can hold 48 fl. ounces (1.5 quarts). The bigger size is useful for the latter two models as they dispense paint at a faster rate. But at the same time, the bigger cup means it will hold more paint and more paint means more weight on the already heavy handheld device. For this reason, the Plus model has a cup grip, and the other two models have cup handle so you can hold the sprayer with both hands when spraying.

The rates at which they spray paint are different for all three. The Plus model sprays at 6.6 gallons per hour, the Max at 7.4 gallons per hour and the Pro at 8 gallons per hour. The faster the sprayer the less time it will take for you to finish the painting.

The cup will give you about 3-5 minutes of continuous spraying time. A 600 square feet of surface will take about an hour. This also means you have to refill the cup many times in that hour. So having the suction kit is very handy.

Control and Other Features

The Plus and the Max have a lever to select the type of material used in the painting. The Pro model has an electronic material selector. Neither is good or bad, but it’s more of a personal preference. Some people like the electronic display while others like the manual lever.

The remote suction hose kit comes with the Max and the Pro models. The 5-foot suction set allows you to paint from the 1 or 5-gallon container instead of the smaller cup, eliminating or reducing the need to refill. Only the Max model comes with a backpack kit which can hold your paint as you are moving around. These are designed for the larger projects where you have to move around.
