Fuji Hobby Pro 2 Review
Fuji Hobby Pro 2 series is designed for the serious DIYer and the serious hobbyists. The 2 stage turbine produces 5 PSI of pressure which is perfect for most jobs that require fine finishing. The item has Hobby-Pro in its name but is a total pro when it comes to performance. The M-Model sprayer gun is amazing and will save lots of time in your finishing. The gun and the 2-stage turbine are of top quality in its class.
The Hobby Pro 2 is almost identical to the Semi Pro 2 in performance, quality, and technical specification.
These three models, 2 Semi Pro and one Hobby Pro, came out to meet the requirements of the customers and to ease the painting jobs at an affordable price. They are ideal for spraying walls, ceilings, doors, fences, shutters, cabinets, etc. It’s the “Go To” system for workshop or residential use.
They are all quite easy to use and maintain. Did I mention, Fuji has excellent customer service?

A Sprayer System for the Hobbyists
Some of the features of the spray system that makes it quite different from the usual ones in the market are listed below.
- M-model spray gun of non-bleed type
- Extra air caps available from 0.8mm to 2.0mm
- Stainless steel needle and a nozzle
- Dedicated fan pattern control
- Highly powerful 2-stage motor which has a power rating of 1400watt
- A long and a flexible hose (25 ft.)
- Handy Turbine Gun Holder
- Turbine filters that can be changed quickly
- A metal case for the turbine
- 2 Stage Motor
The sprayer systems are as noisy as most quiet vacuum cleaners. The noise they produce is about 73 dba and a standard vacuum cleaner noise level is about 78-80 dba and a quiet vacuum cleaner makes about 72 dba.
The system is provided with a 25-foot hose, which makes it very convenient to put it away from your work area. Keeping it away from the work area will also protect the system from the overspray and at the same time, you don’t have to listen to the noise when you are working. In any case, it is advisable to use noise protectors for your ears.
The unit weighs about 25.6 pounds and dimension is 16.5 x 14 x 15.5 inches. The metal casing has a handle on top for easy transportation. The long flexible 25-foot hose makes it convenient to place the unit at a safe distance when working. And the compact design makes it very easy to store anywhere in the house or workshop.
Powerful 2-Stage Motor
Both the systems are powered by 1400 W 2 stage motor. This is powerful enough for most painting jobs that require fine finishing. Viscous materials may need to be thinned appropriately to be used with the system.
M-Mode Non Bleed Spray Gun
Both the system come with M-Model non bleed spray guns. The difference is the feeding type of the two units. The 2250 Hobby Pro unit comes with 1000 cc bottom (siphon) feed system.
With the non-bleed spray gun, you have greater control over the release of the materials used in the painting. For this type of guns, when the trigger is released fluid stops flowing and then air. While in the bleeder type gun the air continues to flow even when the trigger is released, this can cause the solvent to flash rapidly, so there’s less dripping, hiccups, and overspray. The non-bleed gun will help you achieve a better and professional finish.
A very useful feature of the gun is that the fan pattern or size can be controlled with a knob conveniently located at the back of the gun. The pattern size can vary from 1 – 15 inches from 8 inches distance. The dedicated fan control allows the users to adjust the sizes taking care of all increments from smaller circular patterns to wider ones.
